I'm So Excited

I'm in a Saved By the Bell, Full House, New Kids on the Block kind of mood this morning.  I almost wore a scrunchy on my wrist as accessory.

Why?

Because I'm getting braces today so I feel like I've stepped back in time to middle school.

Wish me luck and aligned teeth and comfortable jaws!  Also wish me patience and fortitude and non-grumpiness for the orthodontic and financial adventure that lies ahead.  Ugh.

I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it....I'm so...I'm so...Scaaaared!

  2. Get out your blender! It's (not too cold) smoothie time! Enjoy some seasonal (not too hot) soup.

    You'll do great!

My seven year old WANTS braces, thank goodness since she needs them.

  3. Did you fall into dramatic tears at the end of that last line? I hope you're not crying, love! You're going to look adorable with braces. And thanks for the fun '80s memories today :)

  4. Oh how I love jessie spano with clinched fists singing her heart out as Zack morris looks on in his white high tops and acid washed jeans trying to calm her with a reminiscent story of running away.........thats when showing addiction to speed was high drama...........the good ol' days for sure. By the way, your humor tells me we'd be quite good friends, like kimmie gibler and dj tanner...................good luck with braces!

  5. I was thinking about you all day. And I'm with Jenny, you're going to ROCK those braces!

(And is it just me or do the adults on Full House suddenly look awfully young?? What happened?)

  6. Braces!! Oh how I hated braces. They're pretty much the reason I hate going to the dentist now, because I've just spent way too many hours in that chair with my maw gaping. BUT it was worth it and choosing band colors is also fun. And a Saved By The Bell - Full House revival sounds awesome!

  8. Haha! Braces are just one of those things that represent teenage life. Oh, those awkward days of our lives… :D But straightening crooked teeth has a psychological impact, and a positive one at that. I think it’s never too late for us adults to have that, if only to improve our confidence. I hope you’re doing great with braces! :D
