Tuesdays Around the World: Sugared

This one is berries and cream, honeyed and smooth.  She is sticky with sun-melted sugar.  A dip in the water rinses syrupy waves from her creamy skin.  She hides behind shoulders and takes her time, and then, she overflows your senses with the gentlest of timidities: a hug.  And she wouldn't dream of splashing you.

But you'll end up wishing she had.

Because you'd give anything to soak up a leftover drop of her sugared heart.
