Don't You Love It...

When you spend the day cleaning your house to within an inch of it's cluttered life only to hear that your visitors have cancelled their plans, leaving you with no dinner at the last minute and a half prepared dessert?

Yeah, me too.

(But, yay for dessert in a sparkling kitchen.)

  2. Boo. My aunt cancelled us visiting them tonight...luckily it was to be after dinner, but we didn't have any evening plans. I hate when people cancel.

  5. Lenae - nothing too fancy, oatmeal chocolate chunk bars. Sometimes simple is best though, right?!

  7. That happened to me yesterday! We cleaned up the whole house and I made a delicious lunch for me and a friend and for our kids.
It ended up working out because while I was waiting for her to get here I realized all that preparing just pooped me out! So it was nice to just lay down and take a nap with the kids and eat double the lunch! ;) The benefit of being pregnant I guess...

  9. That stinks. I can't stand plan changers! It's even worse when their excuse is legitimate, because then you can't as easily hold them entirely responsible for your supper predicument.

  10. Diane - Yeah, it was a completely legitimate excuse, so there was no blame to be placed. *sigh* Just one of those unlucky happenstances.

  11. It's kind of nice to have a clean house though :-) This morning my husband got up early and vacuumed because the girls in the community group were coming over for breakfast. It is so nice to have the house vacuumeed! Would have taken much longer to convince him if there weren't people coming over...

  12. So naturally you get takeout as a reward for your sparkling clean house and enjoy the dessert when the kids are in bed. At least that is what I would do.

Hmm...And how did that make you FEEL?
