Never Punctual

Alright, alright, you all can stop begging me to post our Halloween pictures.  (Not that anybody has, but I feel beholden to the spirit of Autumn to offer up these photos before November gets any further along.)

Our Halloween evening was...good.  I mean, to be honest, it could have been better.  Probably by me calming down and just enjoying the moments for what they were, rather than trying to rush to the next event on our calendar.  Either way, these little girls were CUTER than cute, and they had fun.

Even if the witch couldn't wear her hat because it kept blowing off in the wind.

And even if Tinkerbell brandished a hefty club instead of a magic wand.

And even if the trick-or-treating took a back seat to one spectacularly spooky lawn ornament.

And even if we were quite grumpy and exhausted at the end of the evening.

Halloween was good, and I've got the giant bowl of candy to prove it.  Although by now, that bowl is fairly devoid of chocolate.  And who wants non-chocolate candy?

  1. They were adorable! Love it! Were they scared of any of the other decorations? Eli was positively spooked by all of them and wouldn't even approach the door if the yard had something questionable in it.

  2. Oh, sooo cute! I love the picture of them inspecting that lawn ornament.

And seriously, I'm not sure that candy without chocolate can even be considered candy!

  3. They looked adorable! And I'm just wondering... is the bowl devoid of chocolate because mommy ate it? ;)

  5. I'm so glad you posted these! Seriously, I was just about to stage a riot, which would have been tricky, you know, and probably would've involved some expensive plane tickets, etc. So I'm glad you posted these before I had to do anything drastic. The girls were adorable! Happy post-Halloween! (just go buy some more chocolate--let's see how long we can keep that candy bowl interesting...)

  7. Non-chocolate candy? Isn't that an oxymoron?

  8. Cute girls! Way to sort out the chocolate...wouldn't want those sweet girls to have that! Just give them the pure sugar candy!

  9. So cute!! That last picture perfectly shows how Halloween always seems to end--grumpy kids. But, it's worth it!

P.S. I haven't posted Halloween pictures yet...so I totally beat you on always being late.
