Sprouting, leafy, sun-soaked beauties...
Whole, big, plots and rows of veggies....
Silky, flamboyant, fragrant blooms...
And this sweet little thing.
Who will not, no matter how hard I wish it, slow down. She moves forward -- taller, smarter, faster, lovelier -- with the speed of a green bean stalk reaching to the sky.
Maybe by the time August rolls around, I can pick her, save her, keep her. Gobble up her fresh sweetness.
Or maybe, by the time August rolls around, I'll be growing another little bean...savoring the promise of new tinyness....
A girl can dream, right?

Oh man! Does that mean there's not a bun in your oven right now? I might've just told my husband last night that I was hoping you were pregnant :D
ReplyDeleteYour veggies look great, by the way!
I love these pictures!! My beans are just barely poking through the dirt. And I'm afraid I planted them too deep or too early, cause many are not coming up.
ReplyDeleteWould you check out my blog if you get time? =) I'm hosting a great giveaway...http://towninwifehouse.blogspot.com/2010/05/making-difference.html
I don't know which is sweeter -- your daughter or the beanstalk.
