I've tested positive for a mutation of my BRAC1 gene (it's broken - not doing what it is supposed to do in warding off breast cancer) and I developed bc at age 39. My twin, with the same mutation, was only 33 when she developed invasive breast cancer. Know your history, know if you are a good candidate for the genetic testing. Knowledge does save lives. www.bracnow.comDiane LeBleuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04154291173162531719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356238098880523445.post-48248368088486815892010-10-23T13:10:24.089-05:002010-10-23T13:10:24.089-05:00These are great facts, thanks for sharing. It would make sense, then, that breast cancer does the same thing.amber_mtmchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17871256362646081536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356238098880523445.post-65108238280113578092010-10-22T15:56:30.093-05:002010-10-22T15:56:30.093-05:00Good stuff!Good stuff!Madelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02269938426943887438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356238098880523445.post-28285226156000801352010-10-22T13:16:20.982-05:002010-10-22T13:16:20.982-05:00Great, interesting, scary facts! To my embarrassment, I really hadn't given much thought to breast cancer at all, even after having a family member afflicted with it. These posts have been so informative.Lenaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14128174350293301827noreply@blogger.com
